Venus emphasizes the attraction of opposites, by Holiday Mathis

Venus in opposition to Saturn electrifies the attraction of opposites. The union will not be easy, however, which may be the point. When planet love and planet lessons struggle, our attractions become teachers. They teach us by showing us who we are when we get what we want and when we don’t. Strive for grace in all results.

ARIES (March 21-April 19). What comes up today are the kind of puzzles you really don’t have to solve. Give your logical mind a break. Meditate, shower, drive, walk or sleep on it instead.

TAURUS (April 20-May 20). An expectation is not fulfilled. We made you wait too long. Patience is certainly a virtue, but the squeaky wheel also has virtues. Don’t be too quick to accept how things are. Express your concerns.

GEMINI (May 21-June 21). Nostalgia describes a feeling of the past, altered from its original form. You can’t help but bathe fond memories in flattering light. You will float in another era and beautify the scene in your own way, a precious memory.

CANCER (June 22-July 22). You have magical power teeming at your fingertips. You could use your magic to make someone fall in love with you. Check your heart to verify that this is what you really want; your charms will be stronger than expected.

LEO (July 23-August 22). It is always better to reach out than not to reach out. Trust is required and it sets the plot in motion in good, bad and unpredictable ways. The world belongs to those who have the courage to take initiatives.

VIRGO (August 23-September 22). Like sticky flowers meant to trap busy bees, there are games people don’t even realize they’re playing until they’re too deep inside to go back. But you are wiser. You may be going fast, but you’re also careful.

LIBRA (Sep 23-Oct 23). Discriminate between problems and non-problems and it will be a pleasant day. Happiness will be the natural result of focusing on what needs attention, maintenance, or modification, and leaving the rest alone.

SCORPIO (24 Oct-21 Nov). You are inclined to want too narrowly for your own good today. A number of good things are likely to happen to you. So instead of focusing too intently on achieving a specific result, let go and trust the bountiful universe.

SAGITTARIUS (22 Nov-21 Dec). What some would consider stressful is just child’s play for you. In fact, you’ve been in the situation long enough to be bored. New challenges won’t come through the door, but you can create them yourself.

CAPRICORN (December 22-January 19). The task at hand offers some level of inconvenience. This is a chance to prove your patience or develop it. Keep in mind, this is nothing new. You are not the first to experience this, and others are in the same boat.

AQUARIUS (January 20-February 18). You were born with love in your heart, and you give it without thinking; it is an act as reflexive as breathing. And like breathing, you notice when something makes it work. What stands in the way of love?

PISCES (February 19-March 20). Following your curiosity about the interesting world, you will get lost. Unconscious bravery (arguably your most natural state) is powerful. You will enter a new scene and leave a memorable impression.

BIRTHDAY TODAY (August 28). Your ideas are strong and you will know it because you will test them. A scientific approach to goals will help you accelerate the desired results. A special relationship will send you in unexpected directions. You will be an expert in music and fun and set the taste bar with that and your style of accommodation. Leo and Scorpio adore you. Your lucky numbers are: 12, 4, 44, 1 and 16.

CELEBRITY PROFILES: From ‘School of Rock’ to ‘Jumanji’ to ‘Kung Fu Panda 3’, Virgo superstar Jack Black often plays the role of the goofy, arrogant and embarrassed underdog trying to get off the hook an unlikely price. In reality, Black has the Virgo work ethic and a practical approach to life that makes difficult goals achievable. Mars in Sagittarius adds the passion and global vision needed to take on great endeavors.
