Columbus Zoo ZOMBIEzi Bay Halloween Event Opens September 16

Zoombezi Bay at the Columbus Zoo is getting ready to transform into ZOMBIEzi Bay, bringing thrilling and spooky attractions that will leave your hair on your toes!

Here’s what you need to know if you’re planning on hitting the park for the Halloween makeover.

What are the schedules ?

The park will be open every weekend at the following times:

  • Thursday: 6 p.m. to 10 p.m.
  • Friday and Saturday: 6 p.m. to midnight
  • Sunday: 6 p.m. to 10 p.m.

How much do ZOMBIEzi Bay tickets cost?

Zoombezi Bay Season Pass Holders and Gold Members can purchase tickets for $14.99 any day ZOMBIEzi Bay is open. This is the lowest ticket price available.

If you are not a season pass holder or Gold member, tickets will cost $28.99 for all opening days in September, plus Thursdays and Sundays in October. Prices increase on Fridays and Saturdays in October, with an entry price of $32.99.

Haunted houses, spooky areas among attractions planned for Halloween 2022 event at Columbus Zoo

There will be four haunted houses this year: Catacombs, where you can visit the realm of the undead; Eternal Darkness, a near-dark experience that begins at dusk; Pleasant Screams, where you will come face to face with your worst nightmares; and the Sinister Sideshow, where 3D glasses let you see evil clowns and other acts of horror up close.

Visitors can also get their adrenaline pumping in two spooky zones, including a new attraction where zombies have descended on the town of Dead River, Ohio, as well as six rides featuring bumper cars and the classic roller coaster in Sea Dragon wood.

Parental discretion is advised, as attractions may be too intense for young children.
