Guest has a rare opportunity to ride the new EPCOT attraction completely alone
Since opening in May this year, EPCOT’s all-new Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind has seen a steady stream of fans hoping to experience the popular attraction. Customers compete daily for a place in the queue, which can be achieved in several ways.
The ride opened with a virtual queue and is still using it to this day, meaning no waiting queues are offered. Plus, guests can purchase individual Lightning Lane passes to secure the experience (or for the chance to ride twice in one day).
Disney Parks Blog shared a Cosmic Rewind tutorial to get hopeful fans ready for success on their next trip to Walt Disney World:
How to enter the virtual queue
Beginning at 7 a.m. on the day of their park reservation, Guests with a valid ticket or pass and a Disney Park pass reservation for EPCOT will be able to check out an available boarding party through the My Disney Experience app* and request access to the virtual park. waiting line. This can be done before leaving your hotel or on the way to the park.
At 1 p.m. there will be another opportunity to join the virtual queue for anyone who was unable to join a boarding party earlier in the day. Keep in mind that guests must be inside EPCOT to access this second virtual queue opportunity.
How to Buy Individual Admission to Lightning Lane
Guests with valid park admission and a park reservation can purchase individual Lightning Lane admission in the My Disney Experience app* through the Disney Genie service on the day of their visit, subject to availability.
Virtual queue and individual entry to Lightning Lane are only accessible through the My Disney Experience app*. If you have questions or need help signing up for the virtual queue or purchasing individual admission to Lightning Lane, look for one of the Guest Experience Team members throughout the park, who will be happy to help you with your projects.
Even with a Virtual Queue return time or Lightning Lane reservation window, customers reported long wait times from entry to exit.
Luckily, that wasn’t the case for one guest, who recently scored a solo ride on the roller coaster with no other fans in sight. TikToker Adam from Streaming The Magic shared his unique experience in a recent post:
When you’re the only one & the last on Guardians of the Galaxy 😂 #disneyparks
When you’re the only & last on Guardians of the Galaxy 😂 #disneyparks
Adam walked through the empty queue to the sound of applause from cast members making the final ride of the day. They joked with the guest that they would assign him an unfavorable seat (as if that even existed) when in reality he had the whole coaster to himself and could choose his own seat for the space chase.
He filmed the empty cars with his camera, a sight largely unseen since his inauguration, before embarking on the solo adventure.
So how did Adam get so lucky? Followers flocked to the comments section to ask the same question.
“We were with our daughter who is too young to ride so they allowed us to do a parent swap,” the original poster replied in a comment. “By the time it was Adam’s turn, the ride was closed.”
Viewers commented by the hundreds, agreeing the experience was rare and memorable.
